She will also provide early insights into ISSB’s nature-related disclosures project, and an overview of the content of the forthcoming exposure draft of the forthcoming IFRS Practice Statement and its potential role in supporting nature-related reporting.
Carl Obst, Director of the Institute for the Development of Environmental-Economic Accounting (IDEEA), will explore how natural capital accounting can help organisations better understand nature-related dependencies, impacts and risks, and strengthen disclosures through more robust measurement and reporting approaches.
Dr Amelia Sharman, Director - Sustainability Reporting at the External Reporting Board, will discuss the XRB’s draft climate reporting roadmap, proposing a new strategic direction for climate reporting in New Zealand. The XRB will also highlight other priority projects such as He Tauira, a voluntary conceptual reporting framework that aims to enable an entity to reflect upon and communicate its intergenerational impact.
